Working Women: Let's Do It!!!

On Your Mark Get Set GOOOOO!!!! (How many times have I said THAT?) lol....

Ah, each time I begin a new endeavor (like this blog!) it is scary, exciting, and very challenging. I find myself asking myself, "How do YOU know how to do that?"

It is always a reflective process for me to ask myself questions like....What do I really want? Why am I doing this? Can I make it work? What will it "cost" me personally or professionally?

The questions will always be a part of you, but why?

Because you want something more for yourself - just like me. I am committed to share with you all the trials and tribulations I have survived as a single working woman and mother.

As a working woman I have had my share of experiences - some were painful, horrible, and hard to believe I could get through at the time...but I did. And so will you.

Honestly, when I look back on the times that I made some of the worst choices, those were also the moments I learned the most. Learning from our mistakes and moving forward to create personal strategies to do things differently is a necessary process to becoming successful in life and business.

Whether you are jumping into a new career or tip-toeing back into the workforce, you may have many thoughts about your ability to move forward. This blog is for you! We ALL question ourselves! You are not alone my friend!

Figuring out who you are, what you want, and how you are going to change to get those things is NOT easy!! Stay with the process! Do not give up!! It is a normal, natural feeling!

It means you have disturbed your life as you know it and are now ready to change it! This is a good thing...No this is a GREAT thing!

Some questions you may be asking yourself…

I am so scared, where do I begin?

What is my first step?

What is a goal?

How do I make a goal?

Do I need a goal?

What about the challenges that stop me....money...child care....family problems....resources....lack of education? (Oh, I know THIS ONE really well!)

I look forward to supporting you through the challenges you undoubtedly will have, and in pointing you in the direction YOU dream of. If you try and answer all of these questions swimming around in your mind before you begin your new path, you will stop and end up doing nothing.

All you need is the dream and the heart to go out and get what you want in this life! Nike has a great slogan...."Just do it"! I couldn't agree more. That's right, just do it!! Jump in! If you ever played sports when you were a child, at the end of the game there was a winner and a loser...in life, the game is NEVER finished if you make the choice to win!

So let's embark on this new experience together, while I share with you my emotional, physical, and financial trials and tribulations in my pursuit of the strategies that I continue to use - to this day - to stay on top of my game!

Remember, if you shoot for the moon and miss, you are still among the stars!
